While I do love to sing, I am NOT a singer. But, yet, that hasn’t stopped me. Over the years I have spent my fair share of time at my local church singing specials. So, what gives?  Well, my thoughts on this are simple: if my God can create the heavens and the earth in seven days, He can surely turn my singing into something He can use. And honestly, that’s the real point of singing and worship music anyway – it’s not performance, but praise; it’s not spotlight, but service. As Scripture reminds us, when we sing we’re coming before His presence with praise (Psalm 100:1–2), offering Him the sacrifice of our lips (Hebrews 13:15), and also teaching and encouraging one another through truth-filled songs (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19).
